BASIC NEEDS

Use Food Finder to find food assistance, help paying bills, and other free or reduced cost programs. 

Apply to CALFresh if you need help paying for your groceries.

Need help in managing your bill and energy usage? Find help in your county! Applies to Counties covered by PG&E: Humboldt, Mendocino, Tehama, Shasta, Plumas, Butte

Renters Relief Program provided by the state of California: https://housing.ca.gov

It’s that time of the month! 😄 Welcome to the 3rd week of @gotocollegeCA ‘s partner promotion month! ✨⁠

For our 3rd week, we have our partner ScholarMatch @scholarmatch_hq! Their mission is to support first-generation college students earn a bachelor’s degree within five years. They provide individualized college advising, targeted financial support, and career mentoring all the way to graduation! @scholarmatch_hq serves students in the San Francisco Bay region and nationwide through the CollegePoint Initiative.⁠

For high school students in the Bay area, you can join @scholarmatch_hq Destination College Program by submitting applications to be reviewed by programs staff. You can also be referred by high school counselors, community-based organizations, and other educators. Students in the Destination College Program are then invited to apply to the Scholars Program—a support program through college graduation that includes advising, career mentoring, and financial support from one of their scholarship partners!⁠
